Old Lake Latest Catches week ending 22/9/19
Big bags of bream are such a regular occurrence on the Old Lake that it’s easy to take them for granted, but catching 100 lb still means a memorable day’s fishing.
The latest angler to top the ‘ton’ in a pleasure session was Ray Williams, from Leigh, whose catch fell to pellet feeder and small cubes of meat at 25 yards, from peg 6 on Saturday.
And the Old Lake carp are just as keen to take a bait, John Graham landing seven to 20 lb, the average 15 lb, on an overnighter from Saturday into Sunday at peg 2, on PVA bags with home-made fishmeal boilies tipped with corn.
