OLD BURY HILL LAKE – GENERAL & BOAT FISHING
Zander seem to be the species of the moment, and the damp, mild days in particular are producing plenty of runs.
Steve Lyons landed five of them and had many other chances, his best fish being around 9 lb (see photo below).
All of his fish were caught on lamprey chunks legered on a hair and using a slack line to reduce resistance to the fish.
On the carp front, Edge Baits Team Member Chris Purssey tempted a 14 lb fish from peg 74 on a 16 mm test bait that combines Plum and Caviar, called CPL.
Chris, from Weybridge, baited with chopped boilies, and his fishing pal also had a zander.
