Milton Lake Latest Catches week ending 16/9/18

Milton Lake comes into its own at this time of year for tench, bream and crucians, along with a few bonus carp, either on waggler with a running line, or pole close in or up against the lily pads, where fish can often be lined up with a little-and-often loosefeeding approach.

Rick Goodchild, from Tenterden, had a day to remember on peg 22, landing ten tench to 5 lb 2 oz and over 15 crucians to more than 2 lb, all tempted on small maggot feeder and double white maggot over loosefed micro pellets.
The Faulkner’s AS contest last weekend was won with 37 lb, and there were back-up weights of 32 lb.
