Milton Lake Latest Catches week ending 15/7/18

Milton Lake comes into its own at this time of year for tench, bream and crucians, along with a few bonus carp, either on waggler with a running line, or pole close in or up against the lily pads, where fish can often be lined up with a little-and-often loosefeeding approach.

Milton Lake regular Alan Derbyshire, from Epsom, was back in action again, this time landing 25 crucians and six tench, along with lots of smaller fish, at peg 2, on pole and 4 mm expander pellets, cupping in 2 mm and 4 mm pellets and small balls of groundbait.
And Rick McMillan, from Stevenage, had 20 crucians to 2 lb 8 oz and three tench to 2 lb, along with a 1 lb 8 oz roach, fishing a pole with corn and pellets.
