Bonds Lake Latest Catches week ending 24/3/19
The carp are becoming increasingly catchable, now that temperatures are on the rise, and there are still roach and perch being caught on pole or waggler tactics, along with a few accidental carp.
Danny Pye, from Sutton, landed 15 carp, including three doubles to an impressive 15 lb 2 oz, which was a common, during a Sunday session.
He used 15 mm Coconut Crème boilies, fishing just single hook baits with no freebies, in the margins and across to the island.
And he came back for more the following Saturday with partner Kim White and shared another catch of 12 carp to 12 lb 12 oz, fishing the same area, pegs 7 and 8, but this time using PVA bags of pellets and casting tight to the island.
