Old Lake Latest Catches week ending 7/4/19
There are carp to be caught in numbers now on the Old Lake, as two groups discovered during sessions this week.
Adam Rogers, Nick Driver and Dan Nash shared a five-day session on pegs 2, 3 and 4, and landed 24 carp between them.
Adam had 12 for 162 lb, Nick nine for 137 lb, and Dan two for 29 lb, all on 18 mm Mainline Cell bottom baits.
And father and son Darren and Archie Tanner had 13 carp in 24 hours, including an 18 lb common and a 15 lb mirror, from pegs 74 and 75.
They were using Urban Bait Nutcracker boilies over free offerings, fished tight to the island.
Steve Gardener landed 64 lb of bream on 14.5-metre pole and pellets or maggots, in his pole-only match, fishing peg 12.
Runner-up was Terry Harrison, from Crawley, with 52 lb on pellets, maggots and worms, from peg 17, ahead of Geoff Vallance on 41 lb on pellets and maggots, from peg 38, and Brian Spiking with 39 lb on pellets or maggots.
