Old Lake Latest Catches week ending 14/10/18

Clear water prior to the windy weather made conditions challenging for Old Lake anglers, but Dan Fergusson managed to land a personal best common of 19 lb 10 oz to make his day.
Epsom angler Dan was fishing an overnighter at peg 2 with 15 mm NashBait boilies in a snowman with dumbbell pop-ups and a blowback rig.
And the Matchfishing-scene.co.uk contest on the Front Bank on Wednesday, in an easterly wind and bright sunshine, proved difficult due to the clear water.
John Swann won with 21 lb 10 oz from peg 14, on cage feeder and maggots, ahead of Greg Andrews, on peg 4, with 21 lb 4 oz on ‘tea-bags’ of pellets, and maggots on the hook.
Third was Micky Davies with 17 lb on cage feeder and pellets.
