Milton Lake Latest Catches week ending 10/6/18

Milton Lake comes into its own at this time of year for tench, bream and crucians, along with a few bonus carp, either on waggler with a running line, or pole close in or up against the lily pads, where fish can often be lined up with a little-and-often loosefeeding approach.

Luke Simmons, from Guildford, caught 14 tench to 5 lb, along with 13 crucians to 2 lb 6 oz and a few roach, rudd and perch, at peg 18, on pole and chopped worm, corn and soft pellets.
Martin Smith, from Abinger, had 12 tench to 6 lb and six crucians and a nice roach, at peg 21, on waggler and red maggots.
