Temple Lake Latest Catches week ending 28/5/17
The Ghost is a fish that doesn’t get put off easily when it’s in a mood to feed, and the news that it has been caught for a second week running shows that it is as hungry as ever.
New member Lee Carder, from Wimbledon, was on his first trip to the lake when he landed potentially its greatest prize, though the weight was only recorded roughly, as it was 1.30am and he weighed it unaided.
Lee settled for 36 lb, though the fish was landed at a new fishery record of 40 lb 10 oz just a few days before, by Terry Burns, Lee tempting the fish on a Mainline Cell fluoro pop-up over a handful of NashBait Citruz boilies tight to the island.
And Gary Burton had a nice brace of common carp, at 24 lb and 18 lb, fishing peg 15 with single 16 mm Cell bottom baits in the left-hand margins, over a scattering of free offerings.
PLEASE NOTE: LEAD CORE IS BANNED ON BOTH TEMPLE AND THE OLD LAKE. PLEASE SEE KEN IN THE SHOP FOR FURTHER DETAILS.
