Temple Lake Latest Catches week ending 24/3/19
Two ‘thirties’ in a session shows how much sport has picked up on Temple, and a third ‘thirty’ in the same week shows what is possible now that the daylight hours are longer.
Mark Savage started his session with a 37 lb 5 oz mirror at 6am, and followed it with a 27 lb 4 oz common at 4pm, following that with a 32 lb 3 oz mirror.
Mark was fishing peg 9, casting to the far left-hand margin, tight in, using trimmed Pineapple pop-ups with a Ronnie rig and Liver stick mix.
Neil Budd landed Friar Tuck at 33 lb 8 oz and a fully scaled 20 lb fish, from peg 13 on single 15 mm Mainline Essential I.B. baits over a bed of hemp.
The last reported capture of Friar Tuck was back in the summer, by Matt White and Jason Ostler, weighing 32 lb 4 oz both times, and when it was caught last May it was the first reported capture for over a year, at 31 lb 4 oz to Jon Botting.
PLEASE NOTE: LEAD CORE IS BANNED ON BOTH TEMPLE AND THE OLD LAKE. PLEASE SEE KEN IN THE SHOP FOR FURTHER DETAILS.
