Temple Lake Latest Catches week ending 2/7/17
Ray Harding looks to have achieved his long-held ambition of catching Nemo, with the landing of a 41 lb mirror carp at 5am on Sunday morning.
Epsom angler Ray was said to be well chuffed to catch the big fish, which he said was in fantastic condition.
He has had the other Temple heavyweights several times over, including The Ghost twice in six weeks in 2014, the biggest weight being 36 lb 4 oz.
He was fishing peg 10 with a snowman of a 15 mm Mainline Cell bottom bait and a 10 mm Pineapple pop-up over 30 loose boilies.
The last reported capture of Nemo was just over a month ago to new member Luke Luff, who landed the fish at a pre-spawning weight of 43 lb 1 oz, and back in April the fish came out at exactly 41 lb to Anthony Parker, also fishing his first session.
A couple of weeks ago we reported that Josh Knight had landed a 24 lb 5 oz common from peg 14 on a 15 mm Essential Cell boilie cast towards the aerator with a PVA bag of free samples. He has sent us a picture, which is shown.
