Bury Hill Angling Club continues to move towards membership, which is currently in a transitional period, which means that whilst membership evolves, we are for the foreseeable future continuing to offer visiting day anglers the opportunity to fish at Bury Hill simply by purchasing a day pass on the day they wish to fish, which are available from the onsite bailiff. A day pass allows visiting anglers to sample for themselves the quality of our fishing and to experience the beauty and tranquility of Bury Hill and its surroundings, whilst also providing the opportunity to join the Bury Hill Angling Club. See membership details below.
Day Membership
Membership is open to everyone (subject to availability) and entitles members to fish the Old Lake, Milton Lake and Bonds Lake daily throughout the year, except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, when the fishery is closed.
Membership is available for a small annual membership fee costing just £25 for Adults and £20 for Concessionary Anglers, with cheaper alternative memberships also available (see Day Membership Charges below). Membership also includes a number of special benefits, which includes reduced fishing charges, the use of a 3rd rod when paying for a 2nd rod (excludes juniors) and guaranteed membership renewal when applying to re-join (see Membership Benefits below). Members will then pay for their fishing each time they fish (see Fishing Charges below), benefitting from privileged membership rates.
Once our new website, online booking and electronic gate entry system becomes live, which is expected to be in the coming months, members will be able to book their fishing online, when they will receive a unique electronic passcode for the entry gate, giving members early access to the fishery. Alternatively, members will be able to telephone the office to book their fishing.

Bury Hill Angling Club
As part of our move to full membership, we have transferred our membership schemes to a new ‘non profit-making company’ known as Bury Hill Angling Club. This includes Season Ticket Membership, Specimen Carp Membership and Day Membership. The reason for this change is so that we can run the Bury Hill Fisheries Estate along charitable lines, with the tax and income benefits helping us to fund future improvement works on the fisheries estate and new stocking.
As part of this move, you will see that the membership form includes a ‘Gift Aid’ declaration. This is totally voluntary and all ‘Gift Aid’ raised will go directly to helping fund the further improvements and stocking of the fishery. For members choosing to ‘Gift Aid’, there is no additional cost for UK tax payers as all monies are paid by HM Government.
