How to find us
By road
Bury Hill Fisheries is approximately 20 miles from Central London travelling south on the A24, and approximately 7 miles from junction 9 on the M25 and 8 miles from junction 8. As you enter Dorking, follow the signs for the A25 signposted Guildford. As you leave Dorking on the A25 you will find the fishery approximately 1 mile on the left. There is a large brown tourist sign on the right pointing left, however please be aware that trees do obscure the sign during the summer months. You will find the fishery at the end of the single-track lane after a further mile.
THERE IS NO ACCESS TO THE FISHERY VIA MILTON STREET, YOU HAVE TO USE THE MILTON HEATH CAR PARK ENTRANCE OFF THE A25
By Train:
There are frequent train services from London’s Victoria and Waterloo stations and from Horsham and the south coast to Dorking main line station, which is a short bus or taxi ride from the fishery.
By Bus from Dorking Main Line Station:
Both London & Country Buses, No 32 and Tillingbourne Buses, No 21, leave Dorking Station at regular intervals for Westcott and Guildford although services are limited on Sundays.
Ask to be dropped off at the entrance to the fishery, which is approximately 1 mile and a 10 to 15 minute walk along the lane to the lakes.
By Taxi from Dorking Main Line Station:
There is a taxi rank at the station with a regular fleet of taxis serving this point. The fare to the fishery should be around £5 (see guide prices below). If there are no taxis, please refer to the numbers below, which you can call from the station payphone to arrange a pick up when you arrive.
