MEET THE STAFF

With close to 80 acres to maintain, a busy shop and café to run and long opening times that extend to 364 days a year, you probably will not be surprised to learn that Bury Hill Fisheries employs a staff of twelve, who work on a full and part time basis ensuring that the fishery runs smoothly and above all remains clean and tidy!

David De Vere From a highly successful business background, David escaped the rat race and has diversified into fisheries to develop Old Bury Hill into one of the most successful and well-known day ticket fisheries in the country. A keen all-round angler, David is happy fishing for roach and chub from his boat on the Thames, barbel fishing on his local river Mole, and predator fishing on Old Bury Hill Lake as well as fly and salt-water fly-fishing around the world. Bream and carp catches resist weeks downpour! - 13 July 2008
Despite some pretty grim weather, all lakes fished reasonably well with the Old Lake seeing some good bags of bream and carp reported regardless of the weather whilst the two smaller lakes also saw some reasonable action. Picture shows bailiff Eric Bailey rushed off his feet between customers...
