In a week which saw 5 Temple thirties banked, Sean Howard bagged his 4th thirty of the year catching a stunning 38lb 1oz mirror which is the largest fish of the year so far which he followed with a brace of smaller mirrors weighing 22lb 5oz and 19lb. Fishing peg 1, Sean caught his biggie and the 22lb mirror on glugged red corn which he popped up whilst the smaller mirror fell to a pineapple pop up. Carrying tag number 142152, this is the second time Sean has caught this stunning big mirror, the last time was in May last year when she weighed 37lb 9oz and was heavily in spawn.
Another Temple regular Craig Hess caught his first Temple thirty of the year, a cracking 35lb 10oz mirror. Fishing peg 4, Craig also fished popped up plastic corn which he had glugged fishing this to the island margins. Craig also had mirror weighing 22lb 14oz during his session.
Another angler to catch was Stuart Mountjoy who caught 3 fish during his weekend session, a heafty mirror weighing 32lb 12oz and a brace of stunning commons weighing 28lb 8oz and 27lb 3oz. Stuart fished swim 10 catching on popped up corn over hemp.
However the man to beat at present on Temple is regular Robin Ellis who bagged two Temple thirties this week taking his total to 6 for the year. A 32lb leather and a stunning 30lb 4oz scaled mirror which is another new Temple thirty. Fishing his standard set up of glugged corn tipped off with a small broken piece of cream pop up, robin caught the leather from peg 2 and the mirror from peg 4.

Other anglers to catch this weekend on Temple were David Povey from Croydon and Mark Gibson from New Addington. The pair fished pegs 11 and 12 with David catching a stunning 29lb 8oz mirror from the corner of the island on single yellow fake corn, which he fished as a pop up. Mark who fished peg 11, caught a 27lb 13oz common from between the islands on a homemade boilie. This catch follows Dave’s 26lb 8oz common which he caught on his previous session.
