Temple’s 30’s break new record as catches top 40 fish! - 19 06 2008
Rob O’Neill was the latest person to bag a Temple thirty, a lovely 33lb 6oz mirror, which he caught at the weekend and which brings the total number of thirties caught this year on Temple to 41. His second Temple thirty of the year, Rob fished deep-water peg 8, focusing his attentions on the margins around the monk catching his fish mid afternoon in bright sunny conditions. Rob fished Heathrow Baits Supa Stench boilies fishing 2 boilies, a 18mm and 14mm on a size 8 hook over loose offerings.
Carrying tag number 186891, this homegrown mirror is at a record weight having previously been caught at 32lb 6oz back in April.
Also find a picture of Andy Brookes 30lb 3oz Temple mirror, which he caught last week, the details of which are detailed on an earlier catch update.
Quick fishing update, the mixed weather is having a positive effect on the fishing on both Temple and the Old Lake with a number of twenties reported on Temple over the past week whilst the Old Lake continues to throw up large numbers of fish with anglers bagging anything from 10 to 20 fish per session which includes a good number of twenties.
Tight lines.
