Increasing water temperatures get carp feeding on Temple! - 24 02 2009
Robin Ellis was the lucky angler to bag the latest Temple thirty, this time a plump 31lb mirror. Fishing a very similar method to that of Sean Howard who bagged the brace of thirties last week, Robin fished small pieces of chopped up white pop up to the open water in front of peg 10 with no loose feed catching his first Temple fish of the year around mid afternoon. Carrying tag number 141609, this stunning fish which is also at a record weight was last caught in May 2008 weighing just over 30lb, but at the time was full of spawn.
Whilst the fishing has remained tough as water temperatures hit an all time low of 3 degree's this winter, this is the fourth thirty to come out of Temple in just over 2 weeks and with reports of a further fish being banked at the weekend, sorry no details yet, the signs are that the fish are now starting to move so expect someone to bag up big time any time now.
