Huge 15lb 2oz Zander raises the bar for 2008/9 season. - 08 10 2008
New Predator member, Paul Parish braved appalling conditions last Sunday to land the biggest zander of the season so far, a stonking 15lb 2oz specimen. A new PB, Paul fished a smelt head mounted on a single size 8 barbless treble tied to Fox easy twist wire trace which Paul presented on a free running 1oz lead set up 15mts out from mid water peg 16 on the front bank.
A huge fish by any standards and one which will comfortably exceed 17lb when in spawn, Paul commented, that he was delighted with his catch which beat his previous best by over 5lb.
Other notable catches this week includes Jason Reeves 11lb 9oz zed which he caught as part of a 9 fish bag from the jungle whilst boat fishing. Jim Stellars 11lb 7oz zed which came as part of a 5 fish bag and Tim Pooleys brace of doubles weighing 10lb 11oz and 10lb 3oz.
