Have you got what it takes to take on the Milton Cru!
Bury Hill regular Rob Draisey thought he did, bagging close to 150lb of crucian, tench, roach and carp, but with costly results. Fishing peg 26 on the dam bank, Rob fished a short pole to the reed margins catching steadily throughout his 5 hour session on paste over pellet and would have gone on to catch over 200lb had a big carp not smashed his pole.
Bagging from the start, Rob caught 6 roach to 1lb 12oz, 40 or so crucian to 2lb, a dozen tench to 4lb and 10 or so carp to 5lb, which are not in the photo. Rob said, “it was a fish a chuck at one point until I struck into a much bigger carp which after some time made a lunge shattering the fourth section of my pole. A terrific days sport, but costly as the section will cost me £120 to replace.”
