Big bream and tench bags show from boats! - 21 04 2008

Bury Hill Tackle shop manager Russ Evans had a fantastic 3 hour session off the punts in the jungle after work. Using stepped up waggler tactics and armed with halibut pellets for feed, Russ had an estimated 90lbs of cracking action on hair rigged 10mm halibut soft pellets. Fishing tight up against the margins accounted for six tench up to 6lbs along with plenty of bream to 5lbs plus and a common carp of 16lbs.

With water temperatures now increasing as summer finally arrives, expect further big bags from the boats over the next week or so when tench will start to dominate.
