5 more Temple thirites see numbers creep towards 100! - 13 09 2009
The Ghost weighing 35lb was the best fish of the week, caught by Temple regular Stuart Mountjoy, Temple's prized common was caught from peg 10 on popped up corn which Stuart fished in conjunction with a pva bag filled with pellet catching from the island margins.
Whilst Stuart might have caught the biggest fish of the week, Temple regular Neil Malcomson bagged the most fish, which also included a cracking 33lb 11oz mirror as well as a 25lb 3oz common and mirrors weighing 24lb 4oz and 1lb. Fishing swim 12 on the back bank, Neil caught all his fish on popped up corn from both the open water and margins.
Chris Taylor was another angler to do well catching a lovely looking mirror which weighed 33lb 2oz. bucking the trend and fishing swim 8 on the road bank, Chris fished a Mainline Cell boilie which he glugged over small pellet catching from the island margins. This was Chris's first fish from Temple and a new PB.
Temple regular Craig Hess also got stuck into the Temple carp again this week catching 4 fish which included Craig's third thirty of the week, a cracking 32lb 8oz mirror. Fishing swim 11, Craig fished plastic corn with a small bag of pellet to the island margins catching mirrors weighing 32lb 8oz, 26lb 14oz, 24lb 2oz and 18lb 2oz.
Another angler to get amongst the fish was another Temple regular, Mike Saxby. Fishing swim 10, Mike caught 4 mirrors weighing 31lb, 27lb, 25lb 8oz and 24lb 8oz all on popped up corn over loose fed corn.
James Kelly managed three fish during his session, mirrors weighing 27lb 5oz, 27lb 4oz and 23lb 10oz. Fishing swim 15, James caught on boilies over pellet. Fishing two swims away was Andy McTear who caught a stunning mirror weighing 29lb 13oz. Caught on popped up corn, this fish was a new PB for Andy.
Another angler to catch this week was Rob Savage who managed a 24lb 12oz mirror. Fishing swim 13, Rob fished a Cell boilie to the margins.
