Dear Friends.
My name is Graham Mabey and i run the social enterprise For Life Experiences. We are based in Hampshire but work all over the South engaging people in angling and outdoor pursuits. We predominantly work with youths and families who are having issues and try to use the relaxing nature of angling and skilled facilitation to improve personal and social development.

The reason for writing is that we met a lot of you at the Brentwood Carp Show where we came up and ran our Laser Clay Shooting and we could really do with your support. Last Monday our new Angling and Outdoor Pursuit Centre was broken into along with our two storage containers and almost all of our fishing equipment has been stolen. 65 rods and reels in individual rod sleeves, three sets of complete coaching equipment, long poles, bite alarms, pods you name it it has gone! They even stole all of our glugs, leads, hooks and end tackle.
If the fishing stuff was not bad enough they also took our laptops, three blackberry phones, smashed up our alarm systems, cameras....... basically all the equipment we need to take bookings and run our organisation. We are set up as a not-for-profit and any profits mad go back into the projects which we run. Hence we do not have a large reserve fund to help deal with this situation. We do have insurance cover but that is going to be a long and tedious process.

We are asking for help from people in the industry. If you can spare any hooks, floats, rods, reels, alarms, leads, .... anything really then we would be extremely grateful. We progress beginners through different disciplines such as Whip, Float, Feeder, Carp and Match angling and also had all of our winter pike kit and long pole equipment taken. Your help would be very much appreciated!

We have organised for donations to either be sent through to our centre at
FLE Angling and Outdoor Pursuits
Greenridge Farm Fisheries
Green Lane
Ampfield
Hampshire
SO51 9BN

or people can drop off gear to Poingdestres Carp Cabin in Southampton, Fosters of Birmingham and Yately Angling Centre. Your help is very much appreciated.

Just before i go i wold like to say that the support shown from ' Joe public ' anglers has been huge, people who we have never even seen have been offering help, equipment and support. Angling brings everyone together.
