Bury Hill Sunday League 2008

Shortly after Christmas Bury Hill will be hosting a small individual Sunday league, entry is £10 with each of the four rounds costing £20. 20 places are available but just a handful of entries are left, so if you want to take part in the event just call Russ on 01306 883621.

The dates are as follows:

Round 1 20th January using the front bank of the Old Lake
Round 2 3rd February will be on Milton Lake
Round 3 10th February will be on Milton Lake
Round 4 17th February using the front bank of the Old Lake

As well as match day payouts and assuming all 20 places have been filled the top 3 anglers with the most combined weight will be paid out.

Please note this thread will have all the results and updated league tables. Round One starts this sunday on the front bank with a full house. It will be hard going? and will probably turn into a feeder match. I will be happy if I can put 3 or 4 slabs in the net, remember the league is decided on overall weight and also you will need to pay your £10 entry fee (which is the overall pools payout monies) with the first round pools.

Here is the result of Round One which fished hard with a bites at a Premium in the very muddy waters of the Old Lake.

4th Anthony Sparrow 12-12-0 peg 11
5th Mark Holland 11-6-0 peg 20
6th Billy McKinley 10-2-0 peg 3

Being as the league operates on overall weight, that is the top six in the early stages but there is a long way to go yet.

2nd round will be on Milton on 3rd February.
