FACILITIES

Bury Hill is proud to offer some of the best facilities you will find on a fishery, helping to make your stay as enjoyable and problem free as possible.
From the basics such as easy access and clean, well-maintained ladies and gents disabled- friendly toilets to the availability of food, bait and tackle on site, at Bury Hill we have considered your every need.

Parking
Bury Hill’s car park is large and immediately adjacent to the fishery entrance. We ask you to park sensibly and to consider our local residents and to be quiet when arriving early - please do not slam doors. Whilst we do not generally have a problem with car theft, we ask you to make sure that your valuables are not left on display, to help maintain the safety of our parking. Please note that under the terms of our insurance, all vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk.

Disabled Access
All our lakes are disabled-friendly, with flat banks and well-maintained paths and swims, which consist of large substantial wooden platforms that will accommodate a wheelchair and all the fishing tackle you can carry. We also have double swims for when a helper is present.

With prior notice, arrangements can be made for disabled anglers to reserve pegs near the Boathouse on the Old Lake, which is only a short walk from the car park, or to drop tackle off by car to pegs on Milton and Bonds lakes, provided that the vehicle is returned to the car park immediately.

Toilets
The fishery has both male and female toilets, which also serve our disabled guests. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our toilets, which are heated throughout the winter months and also have hot and cold running water supported by warm air hand driers.

Lakeside Cafe
Following its refurbishment in 2004, the impressive boathouse and ticket office now offers an extended and refurbished café with lakeside views and seating for up to 40 anglers.
Serving freshly cooked hot food, from our legendary full breakfasts to burgers, you can even take one of our substantial doorstep sandwiches back to your peg to keep you warm and comfortable behind the rods.

Food is served throughout the day at weekends and Bank Holidays, and mornings, lunchtimes and late afternoon during the week, and there is also a wide selection of hot and cold drinks, confectionery, snacks and even ice cream to cool you on those scorching summer days.

For match bookings we ask you to advise us in advance how many anglers will require food, in order to offer a more efficient service.

  FISHERY REPORTS
Bream and carp catches resist weeks downpour! - 13 July 2008
Despite some pretty grim weather, all lakes fished reasonably well with the Old Lake seeing some good bags of bream and carp reported regardless of the weather whilst the two smaller lakes also saw some reasonable action. Picture shows bailiff Eric Bailey rushed off his feet between customers...
