CORPORATE DAYS

'Angling for Corporate Entertainment'

Looking for a Corporate Day with a difference? Looking for an activity that offers excitement, originality, self-discovery and relaxation in a sociable atmosphere, in beautiful surroundings that will test the skills, stamina and team spirit of your colleagues and guests, all set in the great outdoors and just a short drive from London? Then book a Corporate Angling Day at Bury Hill Fisheries.

With over 10 years experience in running Corporate Angling Days, at Bury Hill we guarantee you the ultimate angling experience tailored to your needs, full of fast action and thrills with a competitive edge that rewards quick thinking and team-building skills.

Suitable for both anglers and non-anglers alike, you can be sure of a day to remember when someone has had their picture taken with an armful of razor toothed pike or zander or experienced the adrenaline rush of banking a heavyweight carp that could be anything up to three feet long! Trout days are popular for corporate hospitality, but in coarse fishing everything grows bigger, fights much harder and the action is more instant!

Fishing is the nation’s favourite participant sport and you’ll soon find out why, using the latest hi-tech tackle, baits and techniques under the watchful eyes of our resident professionals. We have four lakes, all full of fish and you can choose between our Corporate Angling Days, which offer individual and team challenges catching netfuls of carp, tench, bream, roach, rudd, crucian and perch, or our Big Fish Days which give everyone a real chance of catching a jaw-dropping Big Specimen carp, pike and zander.

For that extra special day, we can also arrange fishing from our 8 strong fleet of fishing punts that allow you to drift around the fishery, exploring every little nook and cranny that might harbour a monster. In all cases tackle and bait can be supplied, plus guidance from our resident experts who know the fishery inside out. We’ll even pre-bait swims in advance to lure the fish in front of you giving the best chance of a memorable day catching hard fighting fish in beautiful surroundings.

With our extensive catering and hospitality facilities, we can offer a package to suit all budgets, from full English champagne breakfasts to lunchtime snacks, to bank side barbecues and full sit down menus, we can accommodate all your requirements.

An established fishery for over 200 years, Bury Hill Fisheries is set in a secluded valley just outside Dorking, an old market town in the heart of the Surrey countryside. The fishery is only 20 miles from central London and just 15 minutes off the M25. A mile long private drive leads you from the main road to the fishery, where there is ample car parking close to all lakes. The area offers a wide range of hotels and B&B’s whilst Dorking and the surrounding villages are renowned for their pubs and eateries.

  FISHERY REPORTS
Bream and carp catches resist weeks downpour! - 13 July 2008
Despite some pretty grim weather, all lakes fished reasonably well with the Old Lake seeing some good bags of bream and carp reported regardless of the weather whilst the two smaller lakes also saw some reasonable action. Picture shows bailiff Eric Bailey rushed off his feet between customers...
