BOAT BOOKINGS

The 8 punts available on Old Bury Hill are incredibly popular, offering a relaxing, peaceful and private day’s fishing for up to three anglers. They allow you to move easily all over the lake, with the opportunity to fish baits into nooks and crannies that cannot be fished from the bank.

For weekends and Bank Holidays during the spring and summer months, the start of the predator season (October 1st) and over Christmas, it is advisable to book a boat in advance to avoid disappointment. The easiest way to do this is to complete the email boat booking form below. Simply fill in the details requested and then click the submit button. You should then wait to receive a confirmation email that your boat has been reserved, which normally takes 24 hours. However, please note that emails are not monitored at weekends and anyone wanting to book at the last minute on either a Saturday or Sunday should make their booking by telephoning the bailiff on (01306) 883621.

Please Note:

  • Boats are held for two hours after the arrival time given, after which they will be offered to other anglers unless you have advised the fishery of a revised time of arrival.
  • Your time of arrival should coincide with the fishery’s opening times.
  • For safety reasons, no-one under 18 can book a boat or fish from a boat without adult supervision. All anglers are advised to wear a life jacket, which are available on free loan secured against a £25 returnable deposit.

Bream and carp catches resist weeks downpour! - 13 July 2008
Despite some pretty grim weather, all lakes fished reasonably well with the Old Lake seeing some good bags of bream and carp reported regardless of the weather whilst the two smaller lakes also saw some reasonable action. Picture shows bailiff Eric Bailey rushed off his feet between customers...
