CARP COURSES
Carp Company Sponsored by The Carp Company and run by respected carper Chris Maltby, carp courses ensure you have the latest expertise at your disposal to help you catch the numerous doubles, 20s or maybe even a 30-pounder from Old Bury Hill.
Whether you need help with basic rig construction, want to improve the accuracy of your casting, need to understand more about marker floats and spods or just want someone to guide you through a carp angling session improving your all-round skills, a carp course can be tailored to suit your requirements, choosing between day and night courses.
Our day courses start early afternoon and run through to dusk, which is the most productive time during the summer months for the Bury Hill carp. We even pre-bait one of the most productive parts of the lake - the mouth of The Jungle - to give you the best chance of catching and you are in with a chance from the very off, with anglers regularly catching during the day; however it is as the light comes off the water that the Bury Hill carp become most active and it is because of this that all our courses run through to dusk.
Night courses allow after dark fishing on what is still largely a day-only venue, and as the day turns to night Bury Hill carp sport moves up a gear. Multiple catches are commonplace with doubles and 20-pounders caught consistently during night courses.
Bait is sponsored by the Carp Company, and although most big fish customers prefer to bring their own, we can also provide tackle if required.

PIKE AND ZANDER COURSES

Never caught a zander? Unsure how to handle a big pike safely?

Predator courses run by venue ace Eric Bailey take you through every aspect of modern predator fishing. Learn everything from getting kitted out with sensible, responsible tackle, to location tips, tactics, baits and presentation and how to handle pike and zander on the bank to ensure your safety and that of your catch.

Whether you need help perfecting your float paternoster technique, don't understand what a wobbled dead bait is or have never fished for zander, all the answers are on hand. Boasting hundreds of pike including a good head of double-figure fish and many over 20 lb up to a massive 30lb-plus, and with reported catches each winter of around 300 double-figure zander and literally thousands of smaller fish, Bury Hill is one of the country's premier predator venues. With the two species preferring different conditions for feeding, our Big Fish courses at Bury Hill offer you the best chance of finding a predator in a feeding mood and going home with a fish under your belt, as well as your newly acquired pike and zander skills.
